Encounter is a periodic, site-specific performance event that changes location with each iteration. Performances span multiple disciplines and genres; work can be durational or discrete, interactive or observed, indoor or outdoor. The event is donation-based, with all proceeds after expenses divided equally among participating artists. Encounter is produced by Layna Fisher and Adam Smith.
