For the last twenty years Jesse Perlstein has been making sound art and music under various monikers and with collaborators. He scores a pastiche of recontextualized moments captured from the field, using tapes, vocals and other manipulations to create meditative sonic tapestries. Echoes of Field is a celebration of his work, inviting two movement artists, Kensaku Shinohara & Arletta Anderson, to perform original scores to his past works, providing new context and interpretations. In addition, Jesse will be performing a new solo work for sound and movement. These performances are bespoke for time + space and 1-night-only.
