The public is invited in to witness the simultaneous practice and performance of clearing scores by a group of Los Angeles dancers and performers. Witnesses may come and go as they need during the evening.
clearing scores is a free, movement workshop for dancers. kirsten michelle guides participants in clearing scores -- their relational and shared practice of creating improvised dances from past and present, prioritizing solo investigation and self-recognition through being witnessed and witnessing each other. beginning with a somatic listening practice and building into interlocking and iterative improvisational scores, participants practice intuitive choice-making and finding a liberated presence.
